You aren't alone!

Lately I've been dealing with a lot of attitudes in my home. I haven't posted about it because I'm so distracted by the daily activities that we do, so if I get a chance to post, I choose the fun stuff. I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do though. I will always post the fun stuff, but I want to post the good, the bad and the ugly. SO many of the people who read my blogs are parents, and I don't ever want it to look like we live in a fairytale. We most certainly do not. It's our own little crazy, stressful, comedic kind of fairytale though :)

On a daily basis I deal with fights, nasty attitudes, rolling eyes, kids hitting other kids, time outs, groundings, stomping, and MESSES! It's life. And it's a real life, that most people live with.

I have 4 kids ages, 13, 7, 4, and 2. I am dealing with tantrums in every age range. We all have our own type of tantrums and my kids are not exempt from this.

Right now, my biggest battle is back talking. My two oldest are the worst at this.....or should I say the best?! ;) I'm working through it day by day, but I'm not a fairy godmother, who can just wave my magic wand and bam.....they are perfect kids. It wont ever happen. They are absolutely perfect to ME, but they have attitudes, fights and deal with things that every kid deals with.

Some days I look at them and say "do you guys just need a good old fashion boxing match?" I can only promote so much sibling unity!!!! I want them to realize they are built in best friends, and how lucky they are to have each other. Sadly, they won't realize this until they move out and they miss each other. I know from experience.

Life is so full of lessons to be learned, for all of us. Each day I feel like I learn something new. My kids are ALL different from each other, which means I learn FOUR new things daily! ;)

What makes this whole parenting thing feel easier is knowing that I am not alone. So many of you are going through what I go through with my kids, and we need to put it out there more. NO CHILD IS PERFECT!!! No child is SUPPOSED to be perfect. That is what makes us all beautiful. The differences, the imperfections, the lessons learned.

So here is to learning a new lesson tomorrow..... x4!

  3. Yeah hunny, the kids can be tough. Summer is harder too and I think it's because the kids aren't used to being around each other so much. Like anyone in any living situation whether it's a roommate, spouse, or sibling, it can be hard getting along all the time. We're in this together though, and we just gotta keep fighting the good fight. Speaking of fighting, I'm fighting to stay awake. Bed time!

As always, very nice writing hunny. :)
